Past to the Present events of ENG 101 and the real world.

I have learned a great deal about rhetorical conventions and I feel that I really understand them! What helped me the most in understanding the rhetorical conventions was practicing by looking for rhetorical conventions within academic writing of different disciplines. I feel like this has strengthened my writing because I am now aware of the rhetorical conventions that should be present in my papers, and how to include them.

I have also learned a lot about multimodal composing. I understand that multimodal composing is important to aid readers understand a work and makes it more interesting, but I personally have trouble composing my own multimodal works. I am unsure how to make multimodal works flow best but I have been trying to improve by including multimodal elements where I think they would attract attention or supplement the work.

By far my favorite thing so far in the course has been learning about rhetorical analysis. I love reading and watching presentations of various rhetorical analyses because it is so interesting to hear and learn about a different interpretation of a work. I also greatly enjoyed working on my own rhetorical analysis, it was highly enjoyable to analyze a work of my own choosing and interest.

I feel as though the course has provided me with numerous resources to help guide my learning and I have become a better writer because of it. I enjoy coming to this class and being able to learn more about the way people write, what it conveys, and how to strengthen my own writing. I enjoy writing blog posts as well, but wish that there were times where we could perhaps write a bit more freely because I personally find it challenging to come up with an interesting format when it comes to having a specific prompt.

Future

A good grade I hope?
