Which has been your favorite project in ENG 101 so far and why?

Personally, I really enjoyed Project #2 Rhetorical Analysis of a Visual Argument. Initially, I liked the project because I was able to choose my own visual argument, which enabled me to select something I had a personal interest in. I really enjoy watching Korean pop music videos, as I find them visually compelling and for this reason I chose CLC’s “No” for my rhetorical analysis. Furthermore, the more time and effort I put into the project, the more I began to enjoy it. I found it genuinely interesting to analyze and interpret different visual arguments, and when the project was over I found myself watching other music videos simply so I could analyze scenes from them. I liked expanding my knowledge on various design elements and the project was fascinating.

What do you listen to while doing work for english?

This is one of my playlists I listen to while doing my homework for english! I love upbeat music, it keeps me focused because it cancels out outside noise but it also keeps me excited enough to feel good while I do my homework.

What skills have you gained from the projects you have worked on in ENG 101?

In writing my Literacy and Learning Narrative, I learned how my own personal experiences impact my writing. I also noticed that I have a tendency to not elaborate as much as I might need to in my writing when analyzing after a description, so I have become more critical of my writing in a positive way. In my Rhetorical Analysis of a Visual Argument, I learned a lot about the various design elements and how they are used in visual arguments to convey a message. I learned how to properly analyze and pull conclusive statements from visual arguments using the elements of design. Currently working on the Adaptation & Analysis of a Scientific report, I learned how to properly search for scholarly sources and how to structure a piece of science writing and why that is important.

What is your favorite thing to snack on while working on english?

What do you look forward to in ENG 101?

I particularly like hearing the class discuss various interpretations of pieces of writing that we read, and I look forward to hearing how other people understood a piece of writing different than me. I also like to share my own interpretation at times (not a lot, I have anxiety).

What do you hope to get out of ENG 101?

I hope to continue to improve my writing like I am currently. And a good grade so I can stop relating to this meme.
